Mooneys are considered the sports cars of the air. This is particularly true of this M20C – Mark 21. It is a great cross-country machine. This is one of the most economical complex airplanes around. Particularly true since it has always been hangered until February of 2022. It is now under cover. It has been well maintained. Nota bene: The fuel tanks seals and the doughnut shock absorbers are in excellent condition. It has had multiple cosmetic and functional improvements over the years. Exterior paint is a custom design with no wear. Upgrades have included wing tips, strobes, windscreen, and later style cowl. Alerion and flap gap seals were installed before the exterior paint. Functional improvements have included gyro instruments rebuild, a new vertical compass, new vacuum pump, and a solid-state generator voltage regulator. ADS-B Out is provided by Tailbeacon. Next upgrades: The obsolete #2 Nav-com has been replaced with a smaller comm radio. This provided space on the right side of the instrument panel to relocate the transponder. This will fee up space in the radio stack for a larger GPS. The ELT has been upgraded with a unit that will allow an external antenna. (Poor ELT designs can interfere with the comm radios.) The Documents page has a link to an extensive article on buying and selling aircraft. It is well worth reading more than once. I would suggest EAA or AOPA escrow services. Links provide downloading the PDF copies of the aircraft, engine, and propeller logs. JPGs of the aircraft service manual, the engine overhaul manual, and the Mooney Owner’s Training Manual covers are included. By all means, compare prices with similar aircraft with taking into consideration the improvements and cosmetics.
